3. Entry requirements A love of all music and the desire to dance. 4. Equipment required Be sure to wear comfortable supportive shoes: no heels, except the wide one inch heels. Soles should not be rubber as these mark the floor and do not allow safe free movement. Trainers are not suitable but split sole dace shoes are ideal. Otherwise, just make sure the soles allow you to swivel without sticking. Trousers and top would be fine; if a skirt is preferred, then it should allow plenty movement. A website will be recommended. As well as the correct foot wear, learners should bring a pen and glasses if worn, in order to record progress on the Student Learning Log. 5. Assessment method Tutor will demonstrate each individual step which will be practised. A dance sequence will be taught using a number of the steps used in line Sequences will progress until all steps have been practised Steps are adapted to various timings and rhythms from beat to flowing waltz You will be supplied with a dance script and shown how to read it. A line dancer website can be used to view most of the dances taught.
