For those continuing their training as fitters and mechanics in the Motor Industry Students must be employed in the industry to achieve the qualification You will spend time at College on a day release basis, gaining theoretical knoweldge which will enhance your exsiting skills This will include diagnosis and fault finding, working effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and using new technology

What will I learn?

Level 3 focuses on Fault Diagnosis, Electrical Systems and more complex repairs

How will I be assessed?

Assessment takes place within the workplace

What may it lead to?

You can then undertake the MOT tester qualification or the Automotive Technician accreditation

Entry Requirements

Students must have completed the Level 2 Motor Vehicle Servicing & Repair Apprenticeshi and have Functional Skills in English, maths and IT at Level 1 or equivalent

Work Experience

Students must be employed within an MOT/repair garage or haulage/coach company
