The MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner) pathways will develop your knowledge and skills in relation to healthcare methods and practices, preparing you for a clinical practitioner role at an advanced level. Through access to a suite of modules incorporating advanced health assessment, diagnosis and non medical prescribing, the pathway will enable you to develop the skills and competencies to undertake an advanced practitioner role within - your health care setting. This pathway is only open to practitioners working as experienced registered practitioners within a UK healthcare setting who can demonstrate that they have access to the required practice experience and mentorship.

Students wishing to undertake the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) credentialing as Advanced Critical Care Practitioners can achieve this, working in collaboration with their employer, by undertaking the above modules, and adding module HLTH6086 'Advanced Practice in Critical Care'. These will be studied via part time registration with the University as a Masters student alongside full time appointment or secondment into a trainee ACCP role within a suitable clinical environment. The FICM credentialing requirements will then be completed alongside those required within the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Advanced Nurse Practitioner pathway). Those required within the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner pathway). See You also need to have already undertaken a foundation post registration intensive/critical care module or equivalent prior to undertaking this pathway.
