  • I couldn't pay the rent, it was very expensive and the money offered by LLP is not much. Apart from rent and expenses, it was a good experience. Thanks for it.

Programme overview
This programme is suitable for students who intend to become clinical psychologists, as well as those who plan to pursue a career involving contact with patients with neuropsychological deficits (such as head injury, dementia or stroke). It also provides an excellent grounding for students who would like to move on to clinical PhD research.
The programme is a collaboration between the School of Experimental Psychology and the Department of Neuropsychology within North Bristol NHS Trust. It covers a range of neuropsychological disorders and pathologies, and includes principles of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation following brain damage or disease. It also covers techniques for studying the human brain and considers theories of brain function.
It focuses on evidence-based practice within a clinical context, and offers a comprehensive set of structured tutorials in which you can discuss clinical practice issues with subject matter experts working in the NHS. Around 80 per cent of the programme’s taught content is delivered by NHS clinicians with experience of a wide range of patient groups, including paediatric, adult, acute inpatient and outpatient.
You will have the opportunity to undertake independent research through the programme’s research project. There are also some opportunities to conduct research projects with clinicians working in the NHS. Recent projects have looked at a diverse range of subject areas, including the effect of odours on autobiographical memory, the regulation of emotion following brain injury and the relationship between social media and wellbeing.
All lectures are broadcast in live interactive sessions, allowing you to minimise travel while you study and to watch lectures as many times as you need to.
