The Music and Technology programme allows you to specialise in the vocational areas of recording and production, electronic music, sound design and composition for film and video-gaming. At the same time as focusing on music technology, you will also select half of your modules from our degrees in Music and/or Popular Music. This means you can also study classical or popular music performance, classical or popular music composition, the music industry, and/or select from the wide range of historical and theoretical options.   • ​​To introduce students to MIDI sequencing and to consolidate their technical knowledge and skills, bringing them to an internediate level, through the use of Logic Pro software
  • ​To enable students to compose music to digital video clips ​

  • ​To introduce students to software synthesis parameters and signal processing using a digital audio workstation ​

  • ​To introduce students to optimal mixing and routing procedures in a DAW ​

    ​The ability to transfer a sequenced composition to an audio CD or MP3 file ​

    ​To be able students to analyse a piece of popular electronic music in terms of structure, texture, instrumentation and technical resources ​
