Who is this course for?
This course is designed for musicians, composers and DJs who wish to use technology to create and produce their own music.
What previous knowledge/experience are required?
Some knowledge of computing is useful but not essential. Some musical ability is required.
What is the level of the course?
This is a mixed level 1 & 2 course.
What will the course cover and what can I expect to do by the end of it?
This course is an introduction to the process of making music using a computer using Logic Audio. Learning outcomes including what the student will be able to do:
- applications of music technology
- MIDI sequencing
- recording techniques
- audio sampling and
- multi-tracking techniques
Demonstrations and practical activities.
How will we assess your progress on the course?
Work will be assessed continually by the tutor.
What type of qualification will passing this course give me?
This leads to a Working Men's College certificate.
What extra study/practice do we expect you to do outside the class?
Students can benefit from self-study and practice sessions.
What can I do after completing this course?
Students can progress to higher level Music technology courses.
