Course programme
The course will explore the nature of sound, how to create and use sound for musical activities, and how to join these experiences with Key Skills and Citizenship. Musical activities in this course will be approached in an inclusive environment, needing no previous knowledge or experience. Creativity and play are the most prominent features in all musical experiences, and provide wonderful means for the development of Key Skills and Citizenship. The purpose of this course is to provide any teacher, practitioner, carer or Administrator with tools and knowledge in this often under-utilized skill area, often because of the fear of using music when we are not skilled. You will finish this day with an enthusiasm for the subject and its potential application across the curriculum, and discover how easy it is to use and how valuable it can be.
Course Delegates will:
· Use musical activities for Key Skills including: Communication, Application of Number, Problem Solving
· Use musical activities for Improving Own Learning & Performance
· Use musical activities to help in Working with Others
