Course Content:
The course will provide specialised training in singing, dance and acting techniques relevant to the performing arts industry. The course shares several core subjects that are common to all four BTEC National Diploma's in Performing Arts. These include:

You will also take part in classes covering English, Maths and IT relevant to performing arts. In addition to these core subjects the course will incorporate several subjects specific to musical theatre. These include:

Learning Style:
Individual and group work in classrooms, workshops, studios, project work and visits. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
Equipment Requirements:
Additional costs may be incurred for visits such as theatre trips and for project work.
Assessment:
Is varied and includes coursework, assignments and practical exercises. Some of the units are externally tested and within the programme there is a student led project. This could be a written piece of work, like a report or an investigation, or it could be a practical piece of work.
Progression:
A BTEC National Diploma prepares you for employment
and provides a good grounding to go on to a more
advanced course such as:
