National Certificate/Diploma in Public Services

Course Aims:
. To provide a foundation for effective performance across a broad spectrum of public service occupations throughout the UK
. To develop the analytical, practical and interchangeable skills and knowledge required when working with people across the whole public services environment
. To promote an awareness of the discipline, fitness and skills necessary for public services careers

Physical preparation
All students have the opportunity to take part in residential activities, plus visits to public service organisations and expeditions.

Progression:
Students leave to work in the Police Service, Fire Service, Ambulance Service, Army, Navy, Royal Air Force and a range of service organisations. Universities accept BTEC National Diploma for entry to degree and HND courses.

EDEXCEL

Exam:
All subjects are assessed by a series of assignments.

Other Costs:
Students will attend a wide range of Outdoor Activities, Visits and Residentials as part of the course and will be asked to pay a one off payment of 120 at the start of the course as a contribution towards the costs.

Duration:
Two years study.
