National Diploma in Construction

Course Aims:
This course aims to provide you with an extensive knowledge and experience of construction and the built environment, leading to a nationally recognised construction qualification.

Course Content:
You will study a range of subject areas, including:

- Construction Technology and Design in Construction and Civil Engineering
- Construction and the Environment
- Science and Matierals in Construction and the Built Environment
- ICT and CAD in Construction and the Built Environment
- Building Surveying in Construction
- Structural Mechanics in Construction and Civil Engineering
- Setting out Processes in Construction and Civil Engineering
- Measuring, Estimating and Tendering Processes in Construction and the Built Environment
- Graphical Detailing in Construction and the Built Environment

Progression:
On successful completion of the course you may enter full-time employment in one of a number of building-based industries or join the RAF, Army or Royal Navy. Alternatively you may go to university to study on a related degree programme such as Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or Site/Construction Management.

Exam:
You will be assessed continuously for the duration of the course
