Study Method:
Attendance is three days a week over a two year period. The course is assessed through academic and practical projects, student portfolios, group work and integrated vocational assessment.
Duration :Two year period - three days per week
Who the Course is For:
Applications are welcome from those who wish to develop or enhance the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career within the various employment opportunities of the sport and fitness industry.
A sound educational background or appropriate previously gained experience, together with essential personal qualities are important to gain success in the highly competitive leisure industry.
Assessment:
All units will be internally assessed and externally moderated by the awarding body.
Course Leads To:
The BTEC National Diploma in Sports Development and Fitness is designed to equip you with the necessary academic and practical coaching skills required by the sports, fitness and leisure industry, or progression to University.
During the course of your study, you will also undertake an intense and broad based programme of qualifications and coaching awards, designed to meet the needs of the local, national and international fitness and sports development industry.
