Course Description
To enable students to build a skill base and knowledge of a variety of applications using Microsoft office at level 2.Knowledge gained through use of Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Email Desktop Publishing, PowerPoint and File Management.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

Modules Studied:

• Mandatory Unit (Intergrated Assignment)
• Choice of Audio or Visual Techniques.

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: There is an intergrated assignment incorporating the use of all applications stated in the Course Description above plus the optional unit which is decided upon through discussion and choice.

Progression Routes: Assessment is ongoing and submitted through a portfolio (this can be manual or electronically submitted) of the tasks achieved. The students work is graded through discussion with the external moderator.
