The aim of the course is to make those who carry out fire risk assessments aware of most low risk workplaces. Candidates will be able to identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required.
The course is suitable for people moving into fire safety adviser roles and may benefit fire service personnel in developing their underpinning knowledge as part of the Integrated Personal Development System. It is also aimed at managers and supervisors who have passed the NEBOSH National General Certificate (or Paper A1/NGC1) within the last five years who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibility under fire safety regulations.
The course takes seven days to complete. Delegates will cover the main part of the syllabus during the first five days and devote one day to revise the units as well as to prepare the test itself and the exam techniques. The assessment will take place at the seventh day. It consists of a two hour written exam and a practical test at their place of work.
