NEBOSH National General Certificate by Flexi-study

Description
Training in health and safety is a requirement of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. Managers and advisors who are appointed to assist management must be 'suitably and sufficiently trained' to carry out their role.

· Comprehensive study material, backed up by tutorial support

· The marking and feedback on sample exam questions
· Invigilation of the written exam
· Marking of the practical assessment if carried out at Colchester Institute
· One visit to the candidate's workplace (extra mileage will be charged if the workplace is further than a 50 mile radius of Colchester or if additional journeys are required at 40p per mile + VAT)
It provides valuable underpinning core knowledge for NVQ Level 3 and is seen by many employers as an essential and important base level qualification in Health and Safety.

Training method:
Flexistudy, 2 x two-hour exam papers which are specified by NEBOSH, practical assessment in the form of a safety inspection report.

NEBOSH National General Certificate.
Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:
If you are new to Health and Safety, especially the legal aspects, we recommend you take the one day Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety course prior to starting the NEBOSH General Certificate.
