NEW 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work

What the course is: This course is for those companies who require someone to look after the First Aid requirements within the company. This includes looking after equipment and facilities and calling the emergency services when required. Arrangements should be made for an Appointed Person to be available to take on these duties, however it is the employers responsibility to make sure that they cover absences for example if the Appointed Person is off due to being ill or on holiday, the position will be covered by an alternative Appointed Person. This course is ideal for individuals who wish to gain the knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid. Duration of the course: The course is delivered over a period of six hours consisting of theory and practical sessions. What the course covers: A wide range of subjects are covered including:- Legalities, responsibilities and reporting Assessment of the scene Dealing with an unconscious casualty Resuscitation Heart Attacks Choking Control of Bleeding Fractures Burns Shock If your organisation has a specific area of training that is not included, or you require a more in depth session, then we can accommodate you by providing additional training in that particular subjects for example crush injuries for the construction industry. What will I get from the course? On successful completion of this course you will receive a wall certificate that is valid for three years. On the course you will be assessed throughout the duration of the course. Who can take the course? Each participant must be 16 years or older and a maximum of twelve participants per course.
