How Long Does the Course Take?

The course takes a minimum of 18 hours set over 3 days, ideally the course would be run in consecutive days, however First For Medical Training Ltd understand that in some cases this can't be managed so this is why we can accomodate such problems.

What Does the Course Cover?

The course covers a wide range of subjects, these include:

• Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
• Assessment of the scene
• Dealing with an unconscious casualty
• Resuscitation
• Heart Attacks
• Choking
• Poisoning
• Control of Bleeding
• Bandaging
• Fractures
• Head Injuries
• Eye Injuries
• Sprains
• Shock

If your organisation has a specific area of training that is not included, for example crush injuries for the Construction Industry then we can accomodate you by providing additional training.

What do you get when you have completed the four days?

On completion of the three days and on successful assessment candidates will recieve a wall certificate that is valid for three years. This qualification can be renewed by attending an appropriate 2 day refresher.
