This short course provides an understanding of the key approaches to managing people. Managers will understand some of the psychological processes taking place at work and how to create an environment which will motivate staff to improve performance. There will be a focus on practical techniques which recognise a greater level of equality between differing layers within an organisation, and a means of developing willingness and ownership of workers' actions through improved leadership techniques, eg emotionally intelligent communication methods.
