NHS Pre-Employment Training
Course Description
This course is aimed at people who are keen to work in the NHS in positions such as Health Care assistants, administrators, porters, Ward housekeepers or receptionists.
The course includes visits and talks from hospital staff and a tour of a ward.
On the course you will work on improving written and spoken English for:
Identifying your current skills
Application forms
Interview skills
Team work
Problem-solving
Confidence-building
You have the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in adult literacy. Your tutor will discuss this in detail with you.
You will need to be fluent in spoken English, to have been resident in the UK or the EU for at least 3 years and be permitted to work.
