Currently Northumbria University are delivering a three year apprenticeship route to Registered Nurse Degree status with Advanced Standing of 50%. Students enter our current 3 year BSc (Hons) nursing programme part way through year 2 and undertake the remaining 18 months via existing year 2 and 3 modules (80 level 5 credits and 120 level 6 credits), which facilitate a workplace based focus via coaching. This will provide an additional pathway to the award and NMC registration, within our current pre-registration nursing framework.
