About this course
There are no formal entry requirements but candidates will take an initial Literacy and Numeracy assessment prior to starting the programme. A basic level of literacy is required in order to complete the assessments.

Course Structure
This is a self'study programme, consisting of three units:
- Explore principles of nutrition and health
- Consider nutritional needs of a variety of individuals
- Use food and nutritional information to plan a healthy diet
Qualification Aims
To provide the applicant with an understanding of the health issues related to nutrition.
Assessments/Examinations
Candidates are required to submit three written assessments based on the topics covered in the units. These are assessed by college tutors and moderated by NCFE.
There is no examination for this programme.
