DURATION: 3 - 6 Months (Full time/Part time)
COURSE FEE: £1200 Part Time
COURSE START DATE: MONTHLY THROUGHTOUT THE YEAR

Good standard of English and interest in working in caring field. Must have a current employment in care for on the job assessment, except overseas students who will have a training place provided.
ASSESSMENT:
Portfolio showing competence in all mandatory units and 2 optional units. On the job assessments.
WHAT YOU STUDY:
Foster people's equality, diversity and rights. Promote effective communications and relationships. Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the workplace. Contribute to the protection of individuals from abuse.
Optional Units: Receive, transmit, store and retrieve information. Enable clients to eat and drink. Contribute to the movement and handling of clients to maximise physical comfort.
Enable clients to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance. Enable clients to access and use toilet facilities.
HOW YOU STUDY:
Experience of working in a care environment. Collection of evidence of competence. Preparation of portfolio, class work and reading.
ON COMPLETION YOU WILL BE ABLE TO: progress to employment in care or to further studies at NVQ Level 3 in Care. Issued with a City and Guilds, or Edexcel certificate.
