NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading
The Customer Service Centre is open 10am - 4pm weekdays.
This course has been designed to reflect the most up-to-date thinking on the role of the team leader. The qualification gives the candidate formal recognition of their performance in the work place and assesses the knowledge and understanding of the key areas of team leading. The programme will enhance personal growth and development required to succeed in the business environment.

Entry Requirements
Team Leader responsibility includes:
- Day to day decision making
- Managing a small team of staff
- Allocation of work
- Defined Responsibility
Duration & Format
The programme is delivered in the form of advice and guidance on a one-to-one basis, or alternatively by a mix of group and one-to-one sessions. Completion of the programme is expected within 6 months.
Programme Content
This qualification requires the successful completion of four mandatory units and two optional units from a choice of five.
The four mandatory units are:
- Manage your own resources
- Provide leadership for your team
- Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
- Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety (ENTO Unit A)
Assessment Guidelines
Successful completion of an assessed portfolio of evidence. Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) will be given for existing skills and experience where relevant and evidence is available.
