The objectives of the course are. To recognise existing competence and skills in the workplace via work based assessments. To increase knowledge of legislation and best practice by attending Underpinning Knowledge sessions. To collect evidence for the 4 Core Units and 4. Optionial Units relating to your area of care. Suitable for: Any person working in the field of Health and Social Care in a supervisory capacity. ( Under the provisions of the Care Standards 50% of all staff working in Health and Social Care must have attained or be working towards NVQ qualification by 2005.)

Assessment
By means of observations in the workplace, the provision of witness testimonies, workplace evidence and candidate accounts, oral and written questions and underpinning knowledge sessions.
Qualification
The successful candidate will be awarded this nationally recognised qualification from Edexcel.
