Introduction
This distance-learning course is suitable for candidates aged 19+ looking to progress their career at a management level whilst allowing candidates to develop their horticultural skills in addition to their business skills. The course is aimed for people working in the sports turf, landscaping (including interior landscaping), heritage gardening and related sectors. It is essential that candidates have work experience and industry contact to enable them to complete the requirements of the qualification.
The course is aimed at candidates who wish have career progression at management level within the sector, want to develop their skills through Continuous Professional Development activities and who are employed in the industry at least part time or are self employed within the industry.
Course Structure
The course is made up of 12 modules (or units); 7 mandatory units and 5 sports turf core units.
Modules include:

Develop procedures for health and safety in the work place

Plan, manage the control of weeds, pests and diseases

Provide vision, direction to others

Organise a straight forward land based project or event

Identify areas for improvement for yourself and others
