Is it for me?
This qualification is aimed at people working in an administrative role at a senior level. You should have significant areas of your own responsibility and be involved in planning and implementing administrative changes. Responsibility for supervising staff is not necessary.

What do I need?
You will have the opportunity to discuss your job role with one of the Administration Assessors to confirm the correct qualification level.

What will I study?
The qualification is gained by building up evidence which demonstrates your knowledge and experience in a range of key administrative areas.
There are 2 mandatory units and 4 optional units. The mandatory units include:

• Carrying out your responsibilities at work
• Working within your business environment

There is a wide range of optional units available to suit a diverse range of job roles. You will have the opportunity to discuss suitable optional units with one of our qualified Assessors.

Where will I study?
Baltic Campus
You'll be based at our fantastic £39million Baltic campus on the quayside. The campus has a prime location on Gateshead quayside, and state-of-the-art facilities including a Jacuzzi, gym and sauna, a 200 seat theatre, state-of-the-art classrooms, training kitchen and restaurant, refectory, bistro and vending areas.

Assessment
Your progress will be continuously assessed by a College Assessor and externally assessed by an OCR verifier.

How will I be taught?
Study format is usually on a 1-1 basis with group workshop sessions.

What qualification will I get?
OCR NVQ Business and Administration Level 4.

Can I go on to further study?
The OCR NVQ has national accreditation and can lead to improved career prospects or further study eg NVQ Level 4 Management, NVQ Level 4 School Administration, Association of Accounting Technicians, Higher National Certificate in Business and Finance.

What are the career opportunities?
On completion of the OCR NVQ Business and Administration Level 4 qualification candidates may progress into other areas of employment eg teaching/assessor awards/management/degree course.
