TKT or Teaching Knowledge Test is a Cambridge test about teaching English to speakers of other languages which aims to increase the confidence and competence of new and experienced teachers. It focuses on the core teaching knowledge needed to teach in primary, secondary and adult education.
Upon successful completion of this online course, candidates can book their test at a Cambridge test centre in their local area. TKT is an internationally recognised teaching qualification.

The course aims to familiarise candidates with the test's content, assessment and marking.

TKT can be taken by:
Pre-service teachers

Teachers who are moving to teaching English after teaching another subject
Native and non-native English speakers
You are 20+ years old
You are B2-C1 user Upper intermediate/Advanced level (see our ESOL Advanced course) or
You are a trainee/experienced teacher.
You have access to a PC with fast internet connection. System requirements: Windows 7, 8, 10. Browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer. Accessibility: Desktop and mobile views are available
You are IT literate (can browse and navigate through the learning platform, create, edit and submit documents and assessments, play/download audios/videos, use email and MS Office etc)
