There are four steps to enrolment; an Observation Assessment in school/home; a meeting with school/home staff; a meeting with parents and carers in college and a full Links Assessment Week at college.

Interesting Facts
This programme offers students the opportunity to develop their communication skills, social skills and interactive skills to their maximum potential, enabling them to relate more effectively with other people and their environment. Students with classic autism, autistic type behaviours, associated learning difficulties and disabilities such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Epilipsy, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Dyspraxia are all targeted by the courses teaching approach.

Assessment
Baseline assessment takes place from September to December. Students are assessed in communication skills, social skills, independence skills and numeracy through a range of classroom and community based activities.
