It has also been designed to help learners develop an understanding of the nature of health and social care work in order that they can make informed decisions about whether or not they wish to gain employment in these sectors or as part of their current professional development if already working in these sectors.
Upon successful completion of OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, learners may progress to:
1. An OTHM Level 7 Diploma within the relevant academic discipline
2. A postgraduate degree programme at UK universities
3. Employment in Health and Social Care Sector
4. Relevant postgraduate professional programmes
Learner must fulfil at least one of the following criteria to be allowed entry to the qualification:
1. Possession of a UK level 5 diploma in related subject or an equivalent overseas qualification
2. Mature learners (over 21) with relevant work experience
The Health and Social Care Management Diploma provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the health and social care sector and its wide recognition by employers allows progression directly into employment.
The centre will contact you to discuss the requirement of the course and provide additional information on the process of enrolment. The centre will provide information, advice and guidance on the progression routes and employment opportunities on completing the course. After the discussions, the centre can also invite the learner to join a Taster Session which will introduce them to the tutor and the teaching and delivery of the programme. This is normally last approx 30 minutes. The centre also provide a FLEXI-PAY plan for learners who are looking to pay the fees in instalments.
