Familiarisation on Dental Nursing

Many overseas qualified dentists who are unable to work as dentists in the UK choose to work as dental nurses, usually on a temping basis. However, you will usually require some extra training in the skills & duties of a dental nurse.

The objective of this 2 day course is to prepare you for entering the workplace as a dental nurse in the UK. We will train you in the duties & skills of a dental nurse through a variety of teaching methods ranging from lectures to practical sessions. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance. The topics that we will be exploring include;

o The duties of a dental nurse,
o Health & Safety,
o Cross infection control
o Charting,
o Communication skills,
o Mixing techniques
o Radiography.
