The 12hr course is an in depth course covering Incident management, Record Keeping, Priorities of first aid, Treatment of unconscious Child, resuscitation of baby, child and an adult, Control of bleeding, Fractures, and soft tissue damage, burns and scalds, poisons, head injuries, nose bleeds, Asphyxiation, Asthma, Choking, baby, child and adult, Anaphylactic shock, Epilepsy, Infantile convulsions, low blood sugar, all of the above information. It also covers other Medical conditions such as Meningitis, Sickle Cell, Croup and many more. Suitable for: All foundation teachers, teaching assistances, Early Year practitioners, childminders, Nannies, Nurseries, Nursery Nurses

About this course
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFA) published by the Department of Children, Schools and Families (DCFS) became statutory on the 1st September 2008. The EYFS includes the criteria for effective paediatric first aid training and puts the responsibility on the local authority in whose area the early year’s provision is located to approve such training. Further, all childminders must hold a current First aid Certificate

It also covers other Medical conditions such as Meningitis, Sickle Cell, Croup and many more. The extension on the course allows for more "hands on" practice. Throughout the course the students are also shown video/power point presentations, this enhances the knowledge and understanding of the topics covered. A twelve hour first aid course is the only course recommended for Childminders, Nursery Nurses, Foundation School Staff and Nannies. Our course meets the requirements of Ofsted for all Childcare Practitioners. On Successful completion of this course the candidate is awarded with a nationally recognised qualification valid for three years
