During the course our students will learn about: Emergency Action plan. Resuscitation. Unconsciousness. Airway and breathing problems Asthma, Allergic reaction, Choking, Croup. Wounds and bleeding. Poisons and burns. Other serious injuries Electric shock, Fractures, Spinal injuries, Serious head injuries. Other serious Medical conditions Sickle cell, Meningitis, Diabetes, Fitting. Extremes of body Temperature. Accident Recording. First aid Kits. Suitable for: It is suitable for child minders, child carers, nursery nurses, nannies and pre-school teachers.

Paediatric First Aid
This Paediatric First Aid course was originally approved by the National Association of child minders (NCMA) and the Pre School Learning Association (PLA) in line with the guidelines issued by Ofsted for those in Early Years education. It is suitable for child minders, child carers, nursery nurses, nannies and pre-school teachers.
The Paediatric first aid courses is also ideal for parents and anyone responsible for small children (Sunday School teachers etc).
During the course our students will learn about:

Assessment is a continuous throughout the course. Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance which is valid for 3 years
Our 2 day course meets the core competencies for Paediatric training as recommended by OFSTED. This course is delivered at the Source and includes refreshments, lunch and all course materials.
