Suitable for: This course is aimed at all staff working in the care environment and is in-line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines 2005.

Course Content
The course covers the following Emergency Aid procedures:
- Managing an incident including the primary survey
- The unconscious casualty and the recovery position
- Overview, recognition and treatment for stroke, severe bleeding, shock and choking
- Overview, recognition and treatment for chest pain including angina and heart attack
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Chain of survival
Assessment
Candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities. The trainer will assess the practical competencies for each individual.
