Course Content

The course covers the following Emergency Aid procedures:

  • Managing an incident including the primary survey
  • The unconscious casualty and the recovery position
  • Overview, recognition and treatment for stroke, severe bleeding, shock and choking
  • Overview, recognition and treatment for chest pain including angina and heart attack
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Chain of survival

Assessment

Candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction of group activities. The trainer will assess the practical competencies for each individual.
