About the course:
This course is for tradesmen who are employed seeking further accreditation.

Course Content:
This course covers surface preparation, the application of paints and wallpapers, scaffolding, health and safety, broken colour and texturing. OSAT (On-Site Assessment and Training) is another route to gaining an NVQ that is available to workers who are already experienced but do not have formal qualifications. Regular college attendance is not required and you can start at any time after your interview. You will build up a portfolio of evidence with your Tutor who will also visit your workplace to assess your work.

Equipment Requirements:
You will need to provide your own protective clothing.

Progression:
Trades people with an NVQ3 can progress on to site management

Additional Information:
Attendance is part time one day a week normally for one year. This will depend on previous experience and current work situation. If you are on a qualifying means tested benefit, the tuition fees for some courses may be reduced. However, you will still need to pay Exam and College costs. You must claim tuition fee remission by providing evidence before enrolment.

An interview will be required before enrolment onto this course.
