About this course

-Research other artists focussing on the content and meaning of their work-Develop new techniques in using acrylic and /or oil paint- Use a variety of painting approaches relevant to the set assignments.-Gain better control over paint handling and mark making, expand your understanding of the medium.Develop your conceptual, critical and inventive abilities.

Course programme

We will examine the 'value of painting’ through both practice and related theories/texts. We will look at collage and it’s history in painting.


You will be taught through practical tasks, demonstrations, presentations, individual and group tutoring and group discussion. Homework might be suggested as an option.
The course fee includes basic materials.
Your tutor will recommend several artist’s interviews that are available on-line and are relevant to the course.
Please wear old clothes.
