Course content:

• Apply best practice in relation to Palliative Care
• Deal with different pathways in relation to End Of Life care
• Provide active support and accessing further support as needed, understand and apply End of Life treatment options
• Explain the individual rights and responsibilities of client and carers
• Understand the importance of The Mental Capacity Act in relation to End of Life care
• Link the End of Life pathway to The Mental Capacity Act
• Have a good understanding of the importance of making a will and a living will
• Deal with feelings of self and others, grief and mourning
