The Government wants five million High Efficiency Condensing boilers to be installed by 2010. As these boilers can use up to 35% less gas, you can imagine the savings that could be made for both the environment and the nation's fuel bill if we can all meet this challenge. The UK's installers will have a vital role to play in making this objective reality, and in order to help them achieve this, from the 1st April 2005, gas boilers installed in England and Wales should normally be SEDBUK A or B rated condensing boilers, apart from a few exceptions. A new accreditation called 'City & Guilds. Suitable for: Plumbers and Gas Engineers working with Central Heating Systems.
