Summary:

This course gives candidates with no previous electrical experience the competence required to carry out domestic installations.

It comprises four modules: Installer 1 and Installer 2 plus City & Guilds 2382-10 and City & Guilds 2392-10

Details:

We provide high quality training; teaching students not only the technical skills but explaining the principles on which the techniques are based. The Starter Package course comprises four modules: Installer 1, Installer 2, City & Guilds 2382-10 and City & Guilds 2392 which, if successfully completed, enables candidates to begin a career in the electrical industry as a domestic electrician.

Installer 1 introduces basic electrical theory while the practical element of the course covers the majority of electrical circuits found in domestic premises and also introduces testing.

We have a large fully equipped workshop to support students during practical instruction.

Syllabus:

  • Installer 1 - 5 days
  • Installer 2 - 5 days
  • City & Guilds 2382-10 - 3 days
  • City & Guilds 2392-10 - 4 days

What time do courses start and end?
Courses start at 9.00am and finish at 4:30pm.

Do I need to buy any books?

No. All necessary books are available on loan for the duration of the course. However, you may want to purchase your own copy so that you can make notes in it and have it to take away when the course is over.
Grants and Funding

It may be possible for you to receive funding or a grant towards your training with us, especially if you have recently been made redundant or are unemployed. The following information is not an exhaustive list of help available, but is a good starting point.

Payment options: Easy payment scheme: £500 deposit plus £444.25 per week for 4 weeks. Cost includes examination registration fees and buffet lunches.
