Part Time AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting

Course Description:
The AAT Education and Training scheme offers 3 levels of study: Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and level 4 Diploma in Accounting. Students can commence study at the Certificate level with no previous accounting experience. Students must register with the AAT to be eligible to sit the examinations

The Association of Accounting Technicians was formed in 1980 and is the world's leading dedicated professional body for accounting technicians. The AAT qualification provides students with a thorough grounding in a broad range of accounting subjects, which are relevant to the modern business environment. The AAT is sponsored by four of the UK chartered accountancy bodies and offers fast track entry or exemptions into their qualifications for individuals who are AAT qualified.

Assessment and Progression:
Assessment is by Computer based formal exam for most of the units, except Internal Control & Accounting Systems and Credit management and Control, which are will be project.

Students are required to pass 2 units from the four option units. Any students wishing to sit 3 options will need to discuss this as the qualification requirement is 2 units.

For students wishing to continue their accounting studies, the various UK Chartered Accountancy bodies offer exemptions to students who have successfully completed Level 4 Diploma level. Alternatively students may wish to pursue a Management route (CMI Diploma in Management and Leadership).

This is a one year part time course.

Evenings -Tuesday and Thursday 6.00 - 9.00pm - starting September 2010

Plus course tutorials. A variety of tutorial methods are offered by arrangement with the Programme Co-ordinator.
