Introduction
This award is a college based introduction to Computer Aided Design. These courses use AutoCAD 2009. The introductory 2D course covers all basic drawing, editing and dimensioning commands and is suitable for the complete beginner.

Students will gain the necessary knowledge to construct drawings of parts and edit them. Students will also learn to use system functions such as hatching, the use of blocks, dimensioning and mirror images. On satisfactory completion of the course the student will receive a College Certificate for computer based drawing. At the conclusion of the course candidates are offered the opportunity to continue onto the City & Guilds based National Qualifications.

One evening a week over 15 weeks

Tutor led classes, private study to include undertaking a range of assessment activities to complete assignment for successful completion of course.

Entry Requirement
