Barbering Techniques Level 3

Is this course right for me?

This twelve-week course will build on the basic skills you acquired from the NVQ 2 barbering unit. It includes traditional and modern cutting techniques, as well as styling, sales and customer relations.

What will I be learning?

During the course you will build a small portfolio of practical and written work to support your final assessments. To ensure that you get the maximum amount of practice you will need to bring practice models which may be your friends and family; a bank of4 to5 customers is recommended.

How will I learn?

You will be continually assessed throughout the course by way of direct observation, oral questions, written tasks (projects) and final written tests for each unit. You are required to register with VTCT and purchase an assessment logbook.

What else might I want to know?

You will be required to wear a salon uniform for some classes.

What can I do afterwards?

Students are qualified to work as a barber.
