Who is the programme for? This programme has been designed for students who wish to continue and build on the knowledge and understanding gained from their previous higher education programme and obtain a full honours degree in Business Administration and Management.

What will I study? The programme is designed specifically for students with career aspirations in managing, supervising, administrating and team leading. In order to successfully complete the programme six modules need to be studied and achieved. These are as follows: CORE MODULES: * Managing Quality and Developing Performance * Management, Work and Society * Strategic Management. THREE OPTIONS WILL ALSO BE STUDIED COVERING THEMES SUCH AS: * Business Ethics * Employment Relations * Cross Cultural Studies * Future Work and Managing Leisure * International and Pacific Asian Business * Business and the Entrepreneur * Marketing for Small Business.
Entry to the Programme?

How is it assessed? You will be assessed both individually and as a member of a team, dependent upon the module. There will be a number of assessment methods including practical and research-based coursework assignments, presentations and examinations. At the beginning of each module you will be provided with a module handbook detailing assessments for that period. This will help you to plan your workload and manage your time.

Future prospects? As graduates this top-up degree will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and transferable skills essential to organisations looking for the leaders of tomorrow, managers and administrators. The programme has been developed to encourage an environment of continuous learning and provide you with the necessary employability skills to succeed within the business world. When will the programme start? The programme will start in September 2010

How long will it take? It will take one year to complete attending on a full-time basis, or two years attending on a part-time basis.

What about the Money? St Helens College is committed to providing value for money higher education programmes, therefore programme fees for Honours Degrees and Foundation Degrees for 2010/11 will be 2,100* per year for full time programmes.
