What can this course offer me?
The Diploma in Business, Administration and Finance has been designed with the input of employers from all sectors of the industry to develop what they see as the crucial skills, knowledge and understanding for success in business. The BAF Diploma at KGV equips young people with vital knowledge of the world and the transferable skills needed for employment in any sector.

What will I learn?
Through the Diploma in Business, Administration and Finance, you will develop the confidence and creativity within the context of work, with an opportunity to set up and run your own business, selling a product or service they have devised. You will learn to cope with change, discovering how outside factors such as new technologies, consumer trends, environmental issues or globalisation can affect a business, and how to remain competitive. You will develop good communication and other intrapersonal skills, which will help you build effective business relationships, as well as citizenship skills as you learn about corporate social responsibility.

What Makes a good Business Administration & Finance student?
  • good general communication and number skills
  • experience of computer use
  • a hard working and well organised approach to study
  • enthusiasm and willingness to contribute in class

Which other courses link well with this subject?
It is likely that the full BAF Diploma will make up the bulk of your study time at KGV; with the requirement of both the Functional Skills and Extended Project to complete. However, it may be possible to build in another AS into certain timetables.

Future Opportunities
The Business, Administration and Finance Diploma offers you an extremely wide range of stimulating and rewarding career opportunities - in accountancy, economics and law for instance - whether they want to work for a company or set up your own enterprise.

Is there anything else I need to know?
Although still relatively new, Diplomas are recognised by Universities and Colleges.

The BAF Diploma focuses on a particular career area, but does so by offering a mix of subjects, giving a well rounded education. As such, this qualification does not compel those taking it to pursue only a career in business, administration or finance.
