About this course

You should normally be 20 or over and as a minimum entry requirement, a standard of education equivalent to that required for entry into higher education (or equivalent experience, gained in employment), a Level 3 qualification and a high level of competence in English language.
You will be asked to complete a range of initial assessment tasks to show your level of Literacy and knowledge.

Course Overview

You will be required to attend an exciting teaching placement to practise the skills and knowledge you learn in the classroom.

Course Structure
The course is run over 20 consecutive Tuesdays. The hours of attendance are normally from 12.30 until 20.00

Learning Methods
A mixture of formal taught session, group work and individual work. All learners on this course are then given the opportunity to put the underpinning theory and skills acquired in these sessions is then put into practice by teaching groups of speakers of languages other than English.
