Course Description
A candidate who successfully completes this award will be able to use the basic functions of a computer, have a basic knowledge of one of the following applications: Word processing, Database, Spreadsheets and internet/e-mail. The qualifications comprises of 5 units. The core unit is the Introduction to computers. There are 4 optional units.

Entry Requirements
This is an entry level qualification for beginners to computing. Candidates don?t need any previous computer knowledge, but basic literacy and numeracy skills plus the ability to read and interpret written tasks and to write answers in a legible and understandable form is expected in order to carry out set tasks.
