Course Details

At Level 2 the candidate has to exhibit the ability to contribute to effective working relations and ensure health and safety procedures are observed in addition to job specific functions such as customer service, planning, routing and the scheduling of deliveries. Course Content The level 2 Certificate is designed to Raise employees' awareness of the concept of risk assessment in a work environment. Topics covered including: * Main causes of accidents * Legal requirements * Risk assessment * Principles of Risk assessment * Hazards * Risks * Control measures * 5 Steps of Hierarchy * Hierarchy of control * Risk assessment review * Record keeping Assessment The Level 2 Award is knowledge-based and will be assessed by means of a 30 question, multi-choice examination.

Qualifications required:
There are no prior qualifications required. However It's a legal requirement for employers to provide health and safety training to their staff.

Suitability The CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment is designed for all employees' and can be tailored to suite business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose. Its main purpose is to enable learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment. This qualification will therefore give all employees the ability to contribute to the process and act always to protect their own health and safety and that of others. Course Costs Course fees vary depending on the number of students and delivery location. Cost will include examination fee, registration fee and a beginner's guide to health and safety workbook. Delivery The qualification is delivered by the Ports and Logistics Business Unit at Hull College.
