Course Content The level 2 Certificate is designed to Raise employees' awareness of the concept of risk assessment in a work environment. Topics covered including: * Main causes of accidents * Legal requirements * Risk assessment * Principles of Risk assessment * Hazards * Risks * Control measures * 5 Steps of Hierarchy * Hierarchy of control * Risk assessment review * Record keeping Assessment The Level 2 Award is knowledge-based and will be assessed by means of a 30 question, multi-choice examination.

Suitability The CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment is designed for all employees' and can be tailored to suite business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose. The qualification has been designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety. Its main purpose is to enable learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment. This qualification will therefore give all employees the ability to contribute to the process and act always to protect their own health and safety and that of others. Course Costs Course fees vary depending on the number of students and delivery location. Cost will include examination fee, registration fee and a beginner's guide to health and safety workbook. Delivery The qualification is delivered by the Ports and Logistics Business Unit at Hull College.
