Entry Requirements

• Acceptance onto the course is subject to an interview by a member of the Doncaster Business School CIPD team
• Demonstrate the ability to benefit from the course and possession of basic literacy skills.
• Access to an organisation's Personnel function.

Course Description

This course is designed for those who are in the personnel field and who may have little or no practical experience or no academic qualifications.

Tuition is provided by experienced HR practitioners who are either Chartered Members or Fellows of the CIPD. The course requires attendance on one afternoon or one evening per week (Monday 1.00pm-5.00pm, Thursday 5.00pm-9.00pm).

The course is designed to be highly practical and participative, with the emphasis on:

• Acquisition of Practical Skills
• Confidence Building
• Continuous Assessment
• Self-Development

Students who successfully complete this course are awarded the Certificate in Personnel Practice by the CIPD which leads to associate membership.

Assessment

Students are required to demonstrate their competence in a variety of personnel modules by way of work based report, the completion of assignments and presentations (there are no formal traditional examinations).
