Content This course covers the first and second semesters of the CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate curriculum. The first semester teaches you about Network Fundamentals both theory and practical labs. The lab sessions will allow you to consolidate the theory and you acquire skills ranging from cable assembly to construction and installation of local networks. Semester 2 builds on the knowledge gained from the first semester. You will learn about the technologies behind a computer network and look at some Internet communications in the form of Routing. The labs for semester 2 are designed to build your skills in Routing and are designed to be challenging. Once you have completed the theory and labs, there is an assessed scenario challenge to consolidate the work you will have completed. Pre-requisites for 1 and 2 - Completion of the A+ or IT Essentials program or 1 years working experience in network support plus an Interview. Progression - after successful completion of the course prepare and take the ICND 1 exam then progress to Semester 3.
