Introduction
The CMI Certificate in Team Leading is a nationally recognised qualification designed for practicing or aspiring team leaders who wish to develop their team leading skills and knowledge.

Description
At the end of the course delegates will: Understand the work objectives and the skills and knowledge required to meet those objectives Be able to monitor and review the progress and standard of the teams work Be able to provide feedback to individuals or the team on work performance Be able to develop work relationships outside of the team. To be able to achieve the above objectives delegates will complete three modules: 1.Personal development as a team leader 2.Team development 3.Controlling resources However, to better suit the needs of their job role delegates can swap the above modules with one, two or three of the following: Team communications - 21.4.10 for 3 weeks Building working relationships - 12.5.10 for 4 weeks Providing customer service - 16.6.10 for 4 weeks Team performance - 14.7.10 for 4 weeks

Duration
One evening a week for 10 weeks. Other delivery options include 3 days over three weeks - dates available on request.

Method of Study
Workshops with a mix of taught sessions and practical tasks. The formal assessment is three assignments of 1500 - 2000 words which will include a mix of written reports, presentations, role play projects and integrated work activities.

Progression
CMI Diploma in Team Leading or the Award in First Line Management.
