Content This course will enable you to understand how personal computers operate. You will build a computer - installing motherboard, memory, drives, video and sound cards and peripherals. You will also learn how to install the operating system that enables your computer to work. This course will enable you to design and configure network services and security. It will also introduce you to the Linux operating system and how to get the most out of it. Some of the items you will be working with are file permissions, the Vi text editor, command shells and basic network use. You will also be working with Microsoft by learning how to undertake basic administrative tasks with Windows 2000.
