Course Details
These courses are ideally suited to people working in industry who wish to develop new skills or want to work at a more advanced level. A working knowledge of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) or computing is essential. If you have had little or no experience of Parametric Modelling, then the basic course could suit you. On this Level 1 course the user is introduced to the basic Modelling and Editing commands of SolidWorks. For more experienced Parametric Modellers, the intermediate course could be more appropriate. On this Level 2 course the user will advance to an intermediate level of SolidWorks Modelling and Editing commands. Advanced Parametric skills can be acquired on our Level 3 course. This course is designed to advance the skills of the user, in Assembly Drawings, Motion Study and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation Express. These courses have a high practical element, that blend learning to use new technologies and working towards a recognised Computer Aided Design qualification naturally. This is offered as a college certificate with the opportunity to take a City & Guilds certificate. Hull College has invested heavily in CAD software, and students will have access AutoCAD 2009 and SolidWorks.
